District 11 will be holding a Shooting Sports Leader Meeting on August 25th in Victoria at the 4-H Activity Center.
DeWitt 4-H Council will be meeting Monday, August 31st, at 6:00 p.m. at the Annex Courtroom (115 N. Gonzales St., Cuero, TX). We will be planning a couple of county wide community service events ("One Day 4-H" project and Turkeyfest). All DeWitt 4-H members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
September 1st kicks off the 2015-2016 4-H year. Both new and returning 4-H members need to enroll on 4-H Connect (www.texas.4honline.com) by October 31st. Late fee & enrollment begins November 1st.
The Texas Department of Agriculture is sponsoring a youth photo contest at the 2015 State Fair of Texas. Photo categories include: Farm Fresh Food, Fascinating Fiber, & Sensational Selfies. All entries should tell the story of why "Texas Agriculture Matters". The contest is open to amateur youth photographers in two age categories: ages 12 & under and ages 13-17. You may submit up to three photos per category. Photos will be accepted electronically through Sept. 1st. The DeWitt 4-H Boosters Association will meet at 6:00 p.m. on August 14th in the Annex Courtroom (115 N. Gonzales St., Cuero). We will be voting on the 2015-2016 budget so please make plans to attend. All club managers, project leaders, parents & volunteers are welcome to attend.
